The faculty and staff aspire every day to uphold our mission statement: K-State Salina, as an integral part of Kansas State University, provides students the opportunity to pursue education and applied research in undergraduate and graduate degree programs that combine the resources of a Big 12 university in a small campus setting.
K-State Salina is one part of the three-campus system of Kansas State University. Since becoming a part of the K-State family in 1991 the campus has grown to nearly 1,000 students enrolled in 13 bachelor's degree programs -- including some programs also offered on main campus -- and now graduate students in the Professional Master of Technology degree program.
Students have applied research opportunities in multiple capstone courses and numerous internships in local, regional, and national industries. Engineering Technology students routinely work with area industry to solve real-world problems. Technology Management students apply their skills assisting industry in advancing utilization of the latest technology while honing their personal and professional skills. Family Studies and Human Services students spend time working in the field with mentors and Social Work students are engaged in clinical settings. Unmanned Aircraft Systems students are immersed in an environment of cutting-edge technology as they incorporate and adapt advanced electronic sensors with unique results. Those are just a few of the opportunities available.
With anaverage class size of approximately 15, each individual not only has the chance to succeed, they are encouraged to excel, to pursue their interests, to create an impact on the campus community, and to learn, explore, and break new ground as they continue to pursue excellence in their chosen career path.
